WHO WE ARE

Amber Bath Co. is a Michigan-based handmade skincare and self-care brand founded by Mandilee, a passionate soapmaker who believes great products don’t need hype, they just need to work.

Every formula is thoughtfully made for dry, aging, and sensitive skin using ingredients that are gentle, nourishing, and effective.

We craft everything in small batches: bar soaps, body butters, face creams, scrubs, body and face oils, shower steamers, soy candles, laundry products, and more.

We’re proudly named after Mandilee’s cousin Amber, a bright creative spirit who left the world too soon. Amber Bath Co. exists to carry forward her legacy of beauty, creativity, and kindness.

Everything is made by hand in our Michigan studio using skin-loving ingredients; thoughtful, intentional formulas; and a generous dose of care.

MEET THE MAKER

Hi, I’m Mandilee, the owner and maker behind Amber Bath Co.

I started this company in honor of my cousin Amber, who passed away at just 35. She was artistic, thoughtful, and always creating, and I wanted to build something that would keep her spirit alive.

I fell in love with soapmaking and skincare after struggling to find products that worked for my own dry, sensitive skin.

Everything I make is thoughtfully formulated, tested, and packed by hand in small batches from my Michigan studio. I’m not trying to be trendy, I just want to make products that help people feel good in their skin, every day.

OUR HISTORY

We opened an online store in November, 2018 on a sellers marketplace (not Etsy) and did really well there. We also began selling our Shower Steamers in a few shops throughout Michigan.

We decided to branch out to Etsy in late 2019, and loved it. We were there for five years.

As of 2025 we are no longer on Etsy and will be selling exclusively on our own website here at AmberBathCo.com.

Etsy was a great place for our business, with hundreds of 5-star reviews and over 4,000 customers.

We are and always will be grateful for that journey! But the time had come to leave the nest and venture out on our own.

We are located in Mid-Michigan. We sell both online and in brick-and-mortar stores throughout Michigan.
